About
Aisling
From an early age, I have always been fascinated with how the body moves and the bodies endless capabilities.
In 2008, I began practicing yoga to complement my sporting activities and I really enjoyed the physical and mental health benefits that it brought me.
In 2016, I completed a fitness and gym instruction course. At that time, my focus was on moving my body in a way that would make it faster, stronger and more powerful. My training focused on pushing my body very hard and I developed numerous sporting injuries. It was only later that I came to realise the power of the breath in making my body function at its best.
In 2020, following the birth of my daughters, my goal in life became to show them the power inside them and their own limitless potential. I knew that in order to do that, I had to start with me. I began practicing the Wim Hof Method with its three pillars, Breath, Mindset and Cold Exposure. Through the method, I discovered the power of utilising the breath in increasing my health, vitality and athletic performance. I Breathwork became a strong focus in my yoga practice. It allowed me to look inward and find my true purpose. I decided that I wanted to take my own yoga practice to the next level. I qualified as a yoga teacher, having completed my teacher training with Hot Yoga Dublin, Malahide Road, Dublin 17.
Since beginning my yoga practice, I have participated in trainings in Vinyasa, Hatha, Ashtanga and Restorative Yoga. I am very humbled and grateful to be on this yoga journey. My goal as a yoga teacher is to lead with the heart and utilise the breath to create more functional movement in the body. I believe that the ancient practice of yoga which links movement to the breath can empower students and help them unlock their own inner power and potential.
Lead with the heart, move with the breath
